# Ability to switch to the GSNX application on some Ricoh devices

After a period of time, the user loses the ability to switch from the Pharos iMFP software to the GSNX application on some Ricoh devices.

---

GSNX version 2.4.1 appears to have some positive impact on a problem related to switching to GSNX. Rebooting the device resolves the problem for a period of time. It has been reported that customers seeing this problem that have upgraded to GSNX 2.4.1 no longer have the issue. There is no specific fix for this problem called out in the GSNX release notes and we do not have root cause (and resolution) so this may not be applicable to all customers. But for customers reporting problems task switching to GSNX after a period of time it may be worthwhile having them upgrade to GSNX 2.4.1 to see if it helps.
