The Print Center > Settings screen in Blueprint Administrator includes settings that affect how the Pharos Print Center works.
General Settings
Settings | Description |
---|---|
Show Print Confirmation Dialog | This property determines whether the print confirmation dialog box should be displayed to the user. |
Employees can Print | This property determines whether to display the Print button on the Pharos Print Center website. This setting is enabled by default. When enabled, users can release jobs via the Print Center. Clear this option if you want to prevent users from releasing print jobs from the Pharos Print Center and require releasing jobs using Network Terminals or iMFPs. |
Restrict Printing to Role Print Center Release | When enabled, only users through their Directory Service (such as Active Directory or LDAP) membership with the Print Center Releaselogon role can print. This setting is available only when the Employees can Print setting is enabled. |
Allow Employees to have Delegates | Whether to enable Delegate Printing feature for employees in Print Center. This feature is off by default. When enabled, the Delegate Printing tab is visible to all employees when logging on to Print Center. The Delegate Printing tab in Print Center allows employees to:
When the Delegate Printing is enabled, the following settings set the initial default values for all users in the Blueprint system. Users can override these settings in the Delegate Printing tab of the Print Center.
|
Hide Network IDs for Delegates and quotas | This setting determines whether to hide network IDs in Print Center. If enabled, network IDs will not be shown in the following tabs of Print Center:
|
Allow Guest Accounts | Whether to enable guest accounts in Print Center. By default, this feature is not enabled. If enabled, users will see a Create a guest account link on the Pharos logon screen. Any user who wants to temporarily use the Pharos Print Center can create a guest account provided they have an email address. It is recommended to turn this feature on when MobilePrint integration is available. Guest users can send documents for printing via Web Upload or via email, which requires a working MobilePrint system. Guest accounts are purged depending on the number of days set in the Guest Account duration in days setting, which is set to 28 days by default.
|
Show "Keep me logged in" option | This property determines whether or not to display the 'Keep Me Logged In' option on the Print Center logon screen. By default, this option is checked. If unchecked, the Keep me logged in option will not be available on the Print Center logon screen. Disabling this option is recommended if most users will be using public or shared computers. |
Name of SSO HTTP Header with user's Network ID | Leave this setting blank if your site is not configured to use SSO with Blueprint. If using SSO, enter the name of the HTTP header used to hold the user's network ID. |
Print Center FQDN | Specify the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the machine hosting the Pharos Print Center Web component (in most cases, the Web component and the Pharos API component of the Print Center will be installed on the same machine). This is a mandatory field if you have the following features:
