CBORD Odyssey Gateway using "Keyboard Entry" mode and not "Swipe Entry" mode.

How to Configure the Pharos CBORD Odyssey Gateway to use "Keyboard Entry" mode and not "Swipe Entry" mode?

The following steps will allow you to change the configuration file to "Keyboard Entry Mode".

1. Navigate to the "..\Program Files\Pharos\Bin\Gateway\Odyssey"

2. There is a configuration file called "PharosSystems.Uniprint.Gateway.Odyssey.exe.config"

3. Make a copy of this file for backup.

4. Open this in notepad and add the following lines in between one of the other settings values.

         <setting name="EntryMode" serializeAs="String">
           <value>1</value>
         </setting>

5. You can change the value in the "value" line to a "2" for Keyboard Entry.

This should assist you with what your looking to do. This value can be one or the other and the gateway does not accommodate both at the same time.
