# Collector can contact Analyst on install, but fails server health checks

Collector servers are able to contact the Analyst during installation (when the Analyst's name is specified), but their server health checks fail after installation, indicating that they cannot contact the Analyst.

---

This problem can occur when the Analyst server has a name over 15 characters long. During installation, the server's short name (truncated to 15 characters) is used, and this name can be resolved. However, the full server name is recorded for use in server health checks, and this name cannot be resolved.

To avoid this problem, Analyst servers should not have names that exceed 15 characters.
