Article summary

When using Terminal Services can users be restricted so that they can only print color from certain applications?

The Color Limiting feature introduced in Uniprint 7.2 has two functions:

  • Access to color printing can be allowed or disallowed on a per-User Group basis.

  • If color printing is allowed, users can be restricted to printing color only from certain applications.

The second function, color application limiting, does not work with Terminal Services.

This is due to the fact that the Pharos Application Tracker is unable to get printing application names from the Terminal Services session.
