In that condition, the system can fail while building the copy count response and fall back to allowing unlimited copies. ### Resolution 1. On each Print Server, open `generalSettings.config` with administrator permissions and add the required CopyStop setting value documented for Ricoh devices. 2. Resecure all Ricoh devices after the configuration change. 3. Run the following SQL query against the Uniprint database, then issue a Change Control: ```sql update print_center_settings set value = 'Xerox,Ricoh' where name = 'CopyStopSupported' ``` 1. If CopyStop still does not work correctly, remove the **Default Per Page Cost** value from the pricing configuration. 2. Add **Default Paper Size** in the Attributes settings. 3. Apply the updated JCM or configuration, then retest copying with a user whose balance is lower than the total copy job cost. ### Validation - A user with insufficient funds should no longer be able to exceed their available balance when making copies. ### Notes - The existing CopyStop configuration steps are still required. - The SQL update alone may not resolve the issue in all Ricoh environments. - The workaround identified in this case was to remove **Default Per Page Cost** and configure **Default Paper Size** instead
