Goal:
Understand what affects an expired license will have on system operation.
Environment:
Pharos Systems Blueprint Enterprise (all versions)
Resolution:
When the Blueprint License expires (e.g. the expiry date is 31-Dec-2020 and today is 1-Jan-2021), the following occurs:
Real-time services:
Secure Release Here will not be available. Users will not be able to release their print jobs using the Blueprint Secure Release Here infrastructure. This includes all forms of user interface used to release print jobs, such as iMFPs, terminals and Workstation Release.
Policy Print and Toner Savings Policy will not function. However, users will be able to print as normal (except for the Secure Release Here scenario noted above).
SiteMonitor (Blueprint 5.0 and 5.1 only) will no longer discover new devices, collect meters, or export data for import into Blueprint.
Historical Reporting:
Data collected after the expiry date will not be published to the Blueprint data warehouse. In other words, Blueprint reports will only include information up to, and including, the expiry date.
Even after the expiry date, data is still collected by the Blueprint Trackers. This data will become available once a new Blueprint license key with a valid, future expiry date is applied to the Blueprint Analyst.
