# Install Package Error: Pharos Module Updater cannot be installed on this machine

I receive an error when running an install package on my workstation.

The error from the controller log:

Error: Pharos Module Updater cannot be installed on this machine. Failed to initialize the Installer Helper DLL: Unable to get a list of ports: The data area passed to a system call is too small.

This error can be caused by using a non-English operating system that is not supported by Pharos, e.g. an Asian version of Windows XP.

Pharos does not currently support non-English operating systems for client install and update packages. Support may be provided in future revisions of the product.
