# Jamex USB devices

Will the Jamex USB device work with Pharos?

---

Jamex has released USB versions of their coin box and cash card reader.

Jamex should have supplied information to you on setting up and configuring a Virtual USB to COM port mapping. Special software is needed to make this mapping and then once this is done you should be able to set the Jamex.dll configuration to use the newly created virtual COM port.

Once you have installed the Virtual COM Port software (VCP) you will have to determine which COM Port the USB port is mapped to. This can be done by opening Device manager, expanding the USB portion of the tree (which is usually at the bottom of the list), Locate the COM Port that is assigned to the Virtual USB Port and use this Port to configure your Jamex Coin Box with.
