# LDAPLogin PLug-in fails when using SSL

When using the Pharos Uniprint LDAPLogin.exe plug-in it seems to fail almost immediately when using Secure LDAP (LDAPS) but doesn't fail when using non-secure LDAP.

We see the below error.

**ldap_simple_bind_s() using rootDN failed.** **Unable to search LDAP Server Down**

---

One of the telltale signs that it is a connection problem is that the plug-in itself will fail in less than 100ms.

Check the SSL Certificates on the server running the plug-in and ensure that the ones used by the LDAP server are installed such as any intermediate SSL certificates being used.
