# Mac Print Scout Update

**Why am I seeing "Support Ending for Intel-Based Apps" with Mac Print Scout?** Customers using Mac Print Scout on newer Macs may see the following Apple-generated notice in macOS 26.4 ***"Support Ending for Inter-Based Apps. This version of 'print scout-ui' will not open in a future release of macOS. Lear how to update to an Apple silicon version"*** The message appears because Mac Print Scout currently relies on Rosetta, Apple's compatibility tool that allows Intel-based apps to run on Apple silicon Macs. Rosetta is currently required for Mac Print Scout on Apple silicon devices.

**What do I need to do?**

You can dismiss the message and continue using Pharos as usual. No action is required at this time.

**Is this an immediate issue?** No this is not an immediate issue with macOS 26.4. It is Apple notifying users about a future change expected in 2027

**What is Pharos doing about it?**

Pharos is aware of the notice and plans to release an updated version of Print Scout. We'll provide updates as they become available.
