Pharos Cloud Sentry Print Site Service Release Notes - July 2024

This release represents the latest version of the Pharos Systems Sentry Print Service for Pharos Cloud including several significant new features, improvements, and bugfixes.

New Features and Improvements

Default Scan options are now supported for HP devices

This update simplifies the scanning process on Secure Release enabled HP printers. With this update, the default scan settings have been updated based on customer feedback.

The default scan options are as follows:

• File Format: PDF

• Quality: Medium

• Color Mode: Color

• Paper Size: Letter

• Two-sided/One-sided: Simplex

• Orientation: Portrait

Removed support for SNMP v1/v2 on Xerox devices

The latest Pharos Systems Sentry Print Service no longer supports SNMPv1/v2 and is only compatible with SNMPv3 configurations. To upgrade to the newest release, ensure all your Secure Release enabled Xerox devices are configured to use SNMPv3 exclusively.

Note: Update the XeroxSettings.xml file located at the following path with SNMPv3 configurations that match the printer’s SNMP settings.

Bugfixes

• Resolved an issue causing firmware 3 (FW3) and firmware 4 (FW4) Lexmark devices to experience logon problems after waking from sleep mode.

• Resolved an issue on Ricoh devices where users with display names containing spaces were unable to access the printer's main menu via the More Device Functions button in the Sentry Print app.
