Before You Start

  • This hot-fix should be applied to installations using Uniprint Suite 9.2.

Installation

The update affects Pharos Updater Services and should be applied to all machines running the Updater Service.

The Pharos Systems Updater Service update is offered as an update via the Updater Service in Pharos Administrator

For Servers with Internet access:

  1. Open the Pharos Administrator application and access the Updater Service context under System.

  2. Click to Download and Install the update for Pharos Systems Updater Service version 9.2.10000.378 for all machines where the Updater Service is installed.

For Servers without access to the Internet, the update can be applied as follows:

  1. Download the following file from the Uniprint Service Packs and Hot Fixes page:

    • PharosSystems.Updater.Service.9.2.10000.378.nupkg

  2. Copy the files and paste into the following location on the Principal Server (the server hosting the Pharos Database Service):
    \ProgramData\PharosSystems\UpdaterService\cache-v2.0\

  3. Note: Copying the package files onto the Principal Server will make the updates available to all Pharos Servers on the site. If you are unable to copy the packages to the Principal Server, then they will need to be copied to the same ..\cache-v2.0\ location on each machine where the Updater Service is installed.

  4. Open a copy of the Pharos Administrator application and access the Updater Service context under System.

  5. Click to Download, and then Install the Updater Service package on all machines where the Updater Service is installed.

The application of this update constitutes acceptance of the conditions specified in your license agreement. To view the license agreement, please refer to the license.rtf file on your Pharos CD.

Details

This update addresses the following issues:

  • Support for listing new Sentry Print Service versions - Following the installation of Sentry Print Service version 2505.1707.3521, the Sentry Print Service was no longer listed in the Updater Service installed packages list and no available updates for the service could be listed. This Updater Service update allows the Sentry Print Service to correctly list as an Installed Package, and any new Available Package Updates for the service to be listed correctly.
