# Uniprint on SQL Managed Instance

### Question

Can Pharos Uniprint run on an Azure Managed SQL instance?

### **Prerequisites**

**Required Knowledge**: Knowledge of Azure and of SQL Managed Instance.

### **Answer**

Uniprint does not depend upon where the SQL server lives. It is more about “How’s the connectivity” to the Azure Cloud. Is it via some VPN tunnel from on-prem to cloud, is it fast or slow or does it have occasional connectivity problems? If all those things are in check and the connectivity is reliable, it should work with Azure SQL managed instance without any problems.

If you are planning to run Uniprint on an Azure Managed SQL instance, please make sure you have fast internet connectivity and a network that does not have any interruptions for the application to run smoothly.
