# When installing the Ricoh iMFP software to a devce there is an error "registering the home icon".

### Problem:

When attempting to install the Pharos Ricoh iMFP software to a device, the following error appears in the Java installer:

***Error -- install -- ERR_APP_INSTALL_ERROR :: ERR_NOT_RECOGNIZED :: Regist Home Icon failed ... MAX Home Icon

### Resolution:

This is occuring due to a problem on the device associated with the icons on the home screen. At the device, login as the administrator and restore the home screen:

**User Tools/Counter > Edit Home Screen > Restore Default Icon**
