Uniprint 9.2 Sentry Print Service Update 4.110.1

Sentry Print Service updates are cumulative. This update includes the previously released Sentry Print Service 3.76.6. plus new fixes and improvements.

Before You Start

• This hot-fix should be applied to installations using Uniprint Suite 9.2.

Installation

The update affects Print Servers and should be applied to all machines running the Pharos Print Services.

The Sentry Print Service is offered as an update via the Updater Service in Pharos Administrator

For Servers with Internet access:

1. Open the Pharos Administrator application and access the Updater Service context under System.

2. If not already installed, click to Download and Install the update for Print Center API and Web Services version 5.0.30 (or later).

3. Once the Print Center update has been installed, visit the updated Print Center and complete a logon. This will allow Sentry Print Service version 4 and later to be listed and installed.

4. The Sentry Print Service update should now be listed as an available update in the Updater Service context in Administrator.

5. Click to Download, and then Install the Sentry Print Service package on all Pharos Print Servers.

For Servers without access to the Internet, the update can be applied as follows:

1. Download the following files from the Uniprint Service Packs and Hot Fixes page:

   1. Uniprint.PrintCenter.5.0.30.6.nupkg (or later)

   2. Uniprint.SentryPrint.Service.4.110.1.nupkg

2. Copy the files and paste into the following location on the Principal Server (the server hosting the Pharos Database Service):

   ProgramData\PharosSystems\UpdaterService\cache-v2.0\

3. Note: Copying the package files onto the Principal Server will make the updates available to all Pharos Servers on the site. If you are unable to copy the packages to the Principal Server, then they will need to be copied to the same ..\cache-v2.0\ location on each Print Server machine.

4. Open the Pharos Administrator application and access the Updater Service context under System.

5. The Print Center update should now be listed as an update for all Pharos Print Server machines.Click to Download, and then Install the Print Center package on all Pharos Print Servers.

6. Once the Print Center has been updated to at least verion 5.0.30, visit the updated Print Center and complete a logon. The Sentry Print Service update should now be listed in the Updater context as an update for all Print Server machines.

7. Click Download, and then Install the Sentry Print Service package on all Pharos Print Servers.

Details

This update addresses the following issues:

• Improvements and support for new models. Improvements to Sentry Print support, including support for new models. Please see the Pharos Community for all supported manufacturers and models: Sentry Print Supported Manufacturers and Models

• Card swipe handling improvements can be enabled for cases where certain card swipe issues are experienced.

• Security update for Sentry Print with Xerox devices. This update addresses an issue where sensitive information could potentially be visible to administrators.

• Note: Support for this Sentry Print update requires:

  • Pharos Print Center version 5.0.30 or later

  • DotNet Core 6 hosting bundle
