Article summary

How do I change my Pharos Print Server to the Fully Qualified Domain Name?

Changing the Print Server Host Name to use the FQDN:

1.  Go to [Pharos Administrator\System\Server Configuration\<selected server>\Server Detail\Host Name ] and change the value to the desired FQDN
2.  Click in the Description box right below Host Name
3.  Click Change Control on the far right.  THIS WILL BRING DOWN THE PRINT SERVER SERVICE
4.  Go to the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Pharos (or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Pharos for x64 machines)
5.  Create a String key called "MachineName" and give it the value of the FQDN
6.  Go to Services.msc and start the Pharos Print Server Service

All packages should now use the FQDN when building, and all clients should now use the FQDN to submit print jobs.
