How do I automatically turn on the screen after being in Screen Turn Off mode?
The PS150 has 2 screen saver features. They are both configured in the Network Terminals > Session context.
The Screensaver Time is set to display configurable images after 1 to 20 minutes of inactivity.
The Screen Turn Off Time is set to turn off the screen after 1 to 720 minutes (12 hrs) of inactivity. The power light remains on.
The screen should be turned off daily to save the back light (mean life of 50,000 hrs) and the LCD.
Often customers want the screen on during available hours so that users do not conclude that the PS150 is turned off.
The Network Terminals > Access > Access Times feature also turns the screen off and on. At the end of the access time the screen is turned off and at the start of the access time the screen is turned on.
Example solution for turning the screen on first early in the morning:
For a site that is mostly accessed during work hours e.g. 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. set the Screen Turn off Time to 10 hrs and create access times from 8:00 a.m. till 7:59 a.m. the next day. The PS150 will be unavailable for 1 minute at 7:59 a.m. but the screen will turn on. Also the screen will have some rest time during the night depending upon the PS150 activity.
