How to Change my Print Scout registration for Windows

Problem

I need to change the email address that is registered for me in the Pharos Print Scout on this computer. The Setup Guide is not something I can launch on my own, so I have no apparent option to go through the registration processes again.

Solution

You need to remove the current registration information for your user to force the Setup Guide to launch the next time you try to print to your Pharos Secure Printer. This is accomplished by deleting the following file.

C:\Users\<current logged in user>\AppData\Roaming\PrintScout\UserIdentity.dat

Next, restart the Pharos Systems Print Scout Spooler Service in Windows Services.

Prior to taking the next step, you need to clear the Cookies and Site Data cache in the default web browser. As most browsers have a Time Range option, you need to select everything. If you do not, the registration will be completed using the current email address.

The next time you attempt to print to the Pharos Secure Printer or access the Pharos Print tray icon it will launch the Setup Guide to allow you to change the email account you have registered for the user.
