Question:

How do I flash an Omega PS200ET with a version of firmware?

Answer:

The firmware download has a directory called "smarthub" and in it is a text file on how to update the device using an SD Card. The challenge is finding an SD Card that is 8GB or less as we found in testing larger ones sometimes would work or not work, depends on the SD Card.

The only change to the instructions that come with the firmware is you will need to follow is in the 2nd step below.

*** Starting PS200ET to boot from SD card. ***

  1. Plug the SD card into the slot on the right side.

  2. Use a pin to push button beneath the pinhole next to the power switch

  3. While the hidden button is on pressed position, power up PS200ET

  4. Once the power LED is lit, release the pin.

  5. PS200ET will now boot from SD card and install the firmware.

  6. It will take around 30 seconds. Once it is done, recycle the power.

Step 2 should read "Hold the power button on the front of the unit down." Then continue to step 2 while holding the power button down then plug in the power cables
