Background
Pharos is aware of the vulnerabilities impacting all versions of the HP Universal Print Driver Series (PCL6 and PS) prior to version 7.3.0.25919.
Impact on Pharos software
The vulnerable HP print drivers are packaged with the following Pharos Print Scouts:
- Pharos Cloud Print Scout v 7.37.5.100 and earlier: Impacts customers IF used with HP Universal Print driver (instead of Pharos IPP driver)
- Blueprint Print Scout v7.35.15.100 and earlier: Impacts customers IF used in server-less mode
While Pharos does not package print drivers with Blueprint (for deployments with traditional secure print queues) or Uniprint, we recommend customers review their print drivers. Customers using the vulnerable drivers in their queues should update accordingly.
Pharos Action
New Print Scouts using HP's updated driver will be available:
- Print Scout v7.37.7.100 will be released with Pharos Cloud 4.1 (~ February 25th)
- Print Scout v7.38.4.100 will be released with Blueprint 5.5 (~ March 26th)
