Which Pharos products currently support Windows 7?

Current versions of Blueprint Enterprise

The focus has been our support statement around the Workstation Tracker (since this is the most widely deployed component).

1. BPE 3.5 service pack 1 and BPE 3.5 R2

1. It is recommended that you apply hot fix 5 to either version.

2. The Workstation Tracker is supported on Windows 7.

   1. Supported Windows 7 editions are Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate.

   2. Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7 are supported.

3. Other components are NOT supported on Windows 7 - this includes the Server Tracker, Administrator, Collector and Analyst.

   1. We will not be modifying these components to support Windows 7.

2. BPE 4.1

1. The Workstation Tracker is NOT currently supported on Windows 7; the installer will detect Windows 7 and prevent the installation of the Tracker.

   1. We are planning to produce an updated BPE 4.1 Workstation Tracker that supports Windows 7.

2. Other components are NOT supported on Windows 7 - this includes the Server Tracker, Administrator, Collector and Analyst.

   1. We will not be modifying these components to support Windows 7.

3. BPE 4.2 and BPE 4.2 HF1

1. The Workstation Tracker is fully compatible with Windows 7, both 32- and 64-bit.

4. BPE 5.0

1. The Workstation Tracker is fully compatible with Windows 7, both 32- and 64-bit.

NOTE: Older versions of Blueprint Enterprise (pre-Blueprint 3.5 SP1) have not been tested and are not supported on Windows

Current versions of Uniprint

The focus has been our support statement around Popup Packages (since this is widely deployed and installed outside of the control of the customer, i.e. students can decide to install the package on any machine they please).

1. Uniprint 7.2

1. Popup Packages (i.e. Popups, Notify) are supported on 32-bit versions of Windows 7.

   1. Supported Windows 7 editions are Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate.

   2. 64-bit versions are NOT supported as UP 7.2 did not have general 64-bit support.

   3. Exception - the UP 7.2 Package Updater will not perform automatic updates on Windows 7. If a customer upgrades their server to a newer version of Uniprint, users with the older Popup packages on a Windows 7 machine will need to uninstall the old package and then re-install using the newer version of Uniprint popup package.

3. Uniprint 8.1

Uniprint 8.1 has full support for Windows 7. For 64-bit client support, please ensure that the package has a 64-bit printer driver.

4. Uniprint 8.2

Uniprint 8.2 has full support for Windows 7. For 64-bit client support, please ensure that the package has a 64-bit printer driver.

5. Uniprint 8.3

Uniprint 8.3 has full support for Windows 7. For 64-bit client support, please ensure that the package has a 64-bit printer driver.

NOTE: Older versions of Uniprint (pre-Uniprint 7.2) have not been tested and are not supported on Windows 7.
