Did you know? We now offer two simple, secure ways to sign in and register your Android or iOS device with the Secure Release mobile app: QR Code and Single Sign-On (SSO).
With QR Code registration, users scan a QR code from the Pharos Print desktop app (available on Windows and macOS) to instantly and securely link their mobile device to their user account.
For organizations using OpenID or SAML, SSO delivers an even more seamless experience where users can sign in and register directly in the mobile app using their company credentials, without the need for the desktop app. SSO also makes it easy to switch between accounts for users who have access to multiple tenants (e.g., sandbox and production).
What can you do with the Pharos Secure Release mobile app?
The Secure Release mobile app puts key printer-panel functions right on your phone, giving you the same visibility and control you’d have at the printer. From the app, users can:
- View a list of pending documents
- Print any or all of their documents
- Delete documents they no longer need
What’s coming?
In 2026, we’re introducing an exciting new mobile app feature: Printer Sign In. This capability will give users a modern alternative to typing credentials on the printer panel or requiring a card reader to authenticate at the printer. With Printer Sign In, users will be able to login directly at the printer from their mobile phone—making access faster, easier, and more seamless than ever.
