Issue: SR25 devices connected to the Pharos Cloud stopped working due to an Amazon certificate update.
Resolution: To address the issue, updating to the latest SR25 firmware is recommended. A USB flash drive is necessary to update firmware on SR25 devices.
Note: USB flash drive should be formatted as FAT32 and have at least 10MB space available.
Log in to the Pharos Cloud web console.
Navigate to the Secure > Secure Printers tab. Under External Card Reader, use the drop-down menu to select Deploy SR25 Hardware Guide.
In the dialog box that appears, click the Download the SR25 Hardware configuration package link.
Copy the downloaded SR25.zip file to the root of the USB flash drive.
For each SR25 device, complete the following steps:
Insert the USB flash drive.
After 10 seconds, the lights should begin to cycle from left to right. This indicates that the firmware is being updated.
Once the SR25 configuration package has been extracted and verified, the four LED lights will turn solid green consecutively. Solid green on all four LED lights (NTWK, PRNT, SRVR, and CARD) indicates that the SR25 has been updated.
Configuration is complete. It is now safe to remove the USB flash drive from the SR25.
Release a document to confirm that the update was successful.
