Installation

The update affects the Pharos Database and should be applied to the SQL Server machine running the Pharos database.

To apply the update:

  1. On the SQL Server where the Pharos database is hosted, open SQL Server Management Studio

  2. Copy the auto_purge_visitor_patron.sql file into the Management Studio in a new query window

  3. 'Execute' the query. This will update the stored procedure in the database so that when it is next run the new behavior will be used.

The application of this update constitutes acceptance of the conditions specified in your license agreement. To view the license agreement, please refer to the license.rtf file on your Pharos CD.

Details

This update addresses the following issue:

  • When the overnight task to purge expired SignUp Visitor records from the database was run, visitors with custom transactions recorded against their account were not purged. This update ensures that any such transactions are correctly anonymized and then the visitor record purged
