Article summary

We are seeing an error in the system event log when the Uniprint EDI Service has stopped, "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.".

The Default Website in IIS was stopped and when trying to restart it we get a message stating "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. "

Please see the below Microsoft KB Article for steps to take to resolve the issue. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/890015

It was discovered that another program installed on the machine has taken over port 80 and would not let the Pharos EDI service start. After stopping the culprit process the Pharos EDI Service was able to run correctly within IIS.
