Uniprint - How can I rename a Uniprint PC Release Station?

Question:

I would like to change the network hostname of a Uniprint PC Release Station, how can I do this?

Answer:

These are the steps that have to be done.

  1. First is to stop the PC Release Station Software

  2. Login to the PC with credentials that have the permissions to change the HOSTNAME of the computer and change it.

  3. Login to the Pharos Administrator and under Release Station, select the computer to rename.

  4. Change the ‘Network Name’ value as highlighted below to the new HOSTNAME you updated it to in step 2 above.


  5. Click on Change Control on the right-hand side of the Pharos Administrator.

  6. Start the PC Station application on the client machine with the new HOSTNAME.

The PC Station application should now start and will connect to the Uniprint server as before.
