Uniprint 9.2 Updater Service Update Rev 421

Before You Start

This hot-fix should be applied to installations using Uniprint Suite 9.2. This update does not affect system function.

Installation

The update affects Pharos Updater Services and should be applied to all machines running the Updater Service.

The Pharos Systems Updater Service update is offered via the Updater Service in Pharos Administrator.

For Servers with Internet access

  1. Open the Pharos Administrator application and access the Updater Service context under System.
  2. Click to Download and Install the Pharos Systems Updater Service version 9.2.10000.421 update on all machines where the Updater Service is installed.

For Servers without access to the Internet

  1. Download PharosSystems.Updater.Service.9.2.10000.421.nupkg from the Uniprint Service Packs and Hot Fixes page.
  2. Copy the file to the following location on the Principal Server (the server hosting the Pharos Database Service):
\ProgramData\PharosSystems\UpdaterService\cache-v2.0\

Note: Copying the package file onto the Principal Server makes the update available to all Pharos Servers on the site. If you cannot copy it to the Principal Server, copy it to the same ..\cache-v2.0\ location on each machine where the Updater Service is installed.

  1. Open Pharos Administrator and access the Updater Service context under System.
  2. Click to Download, and then Install the Updater Service package on all machines where the Updater Service is installed.

Applying this update constitutes acceptance of the conditions specified in your license agreement. To view the license agreement, refer to the license.rtf file on your Pharos CD.

Details

This update addresses the following issue:

  • Finding installed components. The Updater Service now finds installed Pharos components on servers that do not have the IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility feature, for example Windows Server 2025. (UP-28178)
