Changing the HP 4345's Hold Off Time to improve slow response from card readers.

Card swipes on our HP 4345 have a long delay. Is there a way to make this faster?

The Hold Off Time can cause the card swipe to respond slowly. By decreasing the Hold Off Time on the HP 4345, the card swipe response can be dramatically improved. The default Hold Off Time for the HP 4345 is 15 seconds, which is a long delay for the card swipe.

Perform the following steps at the HP 4345 to change the Hold Off Time:

1. On the HP 4345 front panel press the Menu button

2. Select Configure Device

3. Select System Setup

4. Select Copy/Send Settings

5. Select Hold Off Time

6. Change the value to 1

7. Click OK
