New Features and Improvements

Removed support for SNMP v1/v2 on Xerox devices

The latest Pharos Systems Sentry Print Service no longer supports SNMPv1/v2 and is only compatible with SNMPv3 configurations. To upgrade to the newest release, ensure all your Sentry Print enabled Xerox devices are configured to use SNMPv3 exclusively.

Note: Update the XeroxSettings.xml file located at the following path with SNMPv3 configurations that match the printer’s SNMP settings: C:\ProgramData\PharosSystems\Sentry Print Service\Xerox.

Added support for new  models

This update adds support for new device models allowing them to be secured with Sentry Print.

For a list of the supported device models, refer to the Supported Printers and Multi-function devices page on the Pharos website.

Ricoh CopyStop functionality

It is now possible to configure Ricoh devices to log a user out if they attempt to do more copy pages than they have available funds for.

Bugfixes

  • Resolved an issue on Ricoh devices where users with display names containing spaces were unable to access the printer's main menu via the More Device Functions button in the Sentry Print app.

  • Fixed Xerox device issues

    • Resolved a Site Service cache issue on Xerox devices that caused authentication failures after an admin credential update. The failure is caused by the Site Service attempting authentication using cached credentials, resulting in an "Admin credential not valid, please set the credentials and try again" error.

    • Fixed the issue showing “Could not log in. The server could not be found or is unavailable” for users with display names longer than 32 characters.
