Problem:

When trying to secure a Print Queue in Blueprint using the 'Blueprint Secure Queue Configuration' tool I get the error below.
Error: "Access was denied. Please rerun this application as a user with permissions to manage printers and try again."
Clicking the "More >>" button shows a message that it is "unable to set printer information for the printer. The request is not supported"

Answer:

The error is a result of trying to add a Queue and secure it using the Secure Queue Configuration Tool when the Print Driver you are using is a Type-4 (Class) version of a printer driver, you will need to download from the manufacturer a "Type-3" print driver to be used for the print queue.

Due to a change in the Microsoft Windows Print architecture, "Type-4" (Class) print drivers cannot be used with any 3rd party solution. Microsoft has removed the ability to use a 3rd party Port Monitor with the new Type-4 print drivers. The Windows Server 2012 R2 Operating System and above  is shipped with only Type-4 "Class" Print Drivers only.
