Article summary

Problem:

On our Canon device some users see the below error message when logging into the device.

"You can perform operations but no data (job settings, logs, personal settings, content etc) can be store this time. To be able to store data from the next time you log in, unnecessary data must be deleted from other users. Contact the system manager or refer to the manual for details. The amount of data stored for registered users has reached the limit." Answer

Solution:

This is related to a internal database on the device that is filling up, we will have to see if we can find out further details. However a Canon technician might know quicker on how to clear the memory and configure the device not to store this information. On the device itself (not the RUI) follow the below steps.

Press the Settings/Registration button
Tap Personal Settings
Tap Management Settings
Tap Device Management
Tap Manage Personal Settings
Change “Action When Number of Users Exceeded” to Delete Oldest User Settings
