Does the Pharos Canon MEAP application support the recording of scans made on a Canon iMFP?
Overview
The Pharos iMFP software will track and charge for scans made by a user. There are no new scanning solutions introduced by the Pharos iMFP for Canon. All existing scanning solutions on the Canon device will be tracked by the Pharos iMFP solution. When enabled, all scanning will be tracked per user. Additionally a cost can be associated with scanning. Scans can be billed on a per-session, per-job or per-page basis. There are no limitations placed on the amount or type of scanning that may be performed.
Universal Send
Universal Send is the native Canon scanning solution and comes on all Canon MEAP enabled devices. All of the scanning activity from Universal Send can be tracked and optionally charged from the Pharos iMFP for Canon solution.
eCopy
The eCopy Share Scan Embedded client can coexist with the Pharos iMFP for Canon. Scan operations performed using eCopy will monitored and transacted by the Pharos solution. For a detailed description of the interactions of these two solutions see the separate Pharos white paper Pharos-eCopy Interaction.
