Can't view Help from a remote location

Article summary

When opening the Pharos Help from a remote location, e.g. a network drive, no Help topics are visible - clicking on an entry on the Table of Contents or Index fails to open the selected topic.

This is a consequence of installing Microsoft security updates 896358 or 890175. These updates "prevent HTML content that is outside the Local Machine zone from creating an instance of the HTML Help ActiveX control (HHCTRL). This change was introduced to reduce security vulnerabilities in HTML Help."

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892675/ for more information.

If the Help file (Pharos.chm) is copied to the local PC, it can be viewed as normal.
