Problem
At times when securing a printer in Pharos Cloud/ HP Insights using the DDU (Device Discovery Utility), you may encounter the “Incorrect Password” error as seen below:
Solution
You will need to carry out the following steps:
- Verify that the admin password in the printer interface matches that in the Pharos Cloud/Insights portal
- Confirm that TCP port 7627 is open and that communication can take place between the device and the DDU on that port. Note that the securing process will have to connect to the device on TCP Port 7627, if not you might encounter the Incorrect password error as well.
