Package creation error: "Communication Error - please try again: Server Closed Connection."

When I try to create an Install Package in Pharos Administrator, I receive the following error:

error; Communication Error - please try again: Server Closed Connection.


This error message can be caused by a corrupt installation of the print driver. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

  1. Find a faulty package

  2. Assign a different driver for the printer and queue

  3. Delete that driver from the system (Print Server Properties\ Drivers)

  4. Install the driver again

  5. Assign the driver to the printer and queue

  6. Rebuild the package

NOTE: This issue can be caused by using Windows Print Migrator 3.1
