Pharos Stations will not log off automatically, as specified by the Pharos Administrator setting "Auto Logoff Delay".
The Windows security on the Pharos Station is too tight. The Pharos Station needs to modify Windows screen saver settings as it starts up, in order for the auto logoff feature to work. The Pharos Station has the same permissions as the user that is logged onto the Windows client.
The user logged on to the Windows client needs permission to modify the screensaver settings.
If you are using a Group Policy Object the following settings need to be set to "Not Configured":
Screensaver
Screensaver Timeout
The security settings as specified by the Securing the Pharos Station TechNote (TechNoteSecurePStation.pdf) provide sufficient information for locking down a Pharos Station securely. This TechNote is available on the Pharos Documentation CD.
