Ricoh iMFP prompts for a User Code.

Article summary

The following error displays on top of the Pharos logon screen when attempting to authenticate at a Ricoh iMFP. See attached image at the bottom.

"To use the following function(s), enter user code with the Number keys, then press [OK]."


Resolution:

The above message appears because the "User Authentication Method" on the device itself is NOT set to "Off".  Instead it most likely set to "User Code".  Once you change it to "Off", you should receive the Pharos login screen as expected.
