The Pharos SIPs Gateway does not authenticate passwords.

SIRSI 2003 version of Unicorn and SIPS2 Pharos Gateway

SIRSI had us modify a file called SIP2.cfg so that the SIP2 socket used by Signup requires a PIN. Here is how the SIP2.cfg should look on a SIRSI Unicorn system running the 2003 version of Unicorn:

USER|SIPCHK|
PASSWORD|SIPCHK|
STATION|SIP6005|
SELFCHECK_LOGGING|1|
SELFCHECK_PIN_REQUIRED|Y|

POLICY|ITYP|
MAGMEDIALIST|UNKNOWN|
