Article summary

Problem:

The Xerox iMFP: Device not obeying the Terminal Inactivity Timeout value.

Information:

The Inactivity Timeout for the Xerox iMFP is controlled on the device itself, not in the Release Stations section of the Pharos Administrator. The setting is typically under under System > Timeouts > System Timeout but may vary from model to model, you can check with your Xerox Technician on where this is located on your particular model.

When the device reaches this setting a message displays on the screen for about 5 seconds to ask the user if they want to continue. After that the device logs the user out.
