Xerox iMFP fails to install on WC5330 (WC53xx models)

When installing the Pharos Xerox iMFP software on a WC5330 or other WC53xx devices the installation appears to work but the device fails to communicate to the Xerox iMFP Application Server.

When I try to login via 'Keyboard' the software keyboard doesn't come up and an error message reads "Communication with the authentication system was not successful".


It was discovered that the device needed to have an updated version of the Xerox System Software. For the Xerox WC5330 the System Software was updated to 53.32.52 and this resolved the issue.

After updating the device the Pharos Xerox iMFP Software was re-installed and was successful.

NOTE: Always ensure that your device has the latest Xerox System Software.
