Overview
Omega PS200 terminals do not support interactive remote control of the touchscreen from a web browser session. You can still use Omega Web Administrator for remote configuration and maintenance tasks such as changing settings, updating firmware, adjusting logging, managing themes, and restarting the device.
Symptoms
You expect to remotely control the PS200 screen from a browser session.
The web interface opens, but you cannot interact with the device as if you were standing at the terminal.
You are unsure whether the feature was removed or requires a special browser or configuration.
Cause
The PS200 platform does not support the VNC based remote control capability that customers commonly expect from older Omega workflows, so interactive browser based control of the touchscreen is not available on this model.
Resolution
Use Omega Web Administrator for supported remote administration tasks only. This includes:
1. Changing network and EDI settings.
2. Updating firmware
3. Configuring logging and collecting troubleshooting information.
4. Managing themes and screen saver assets.
5. Restarting the PS200.
If you need to troubleshoot the user experience at the device, work directly from the touchscreen, collect Omega logs, and validate the device configuration against the Omega PS200 installation and configuration guide.
