Before You Start
This hot-fix should be applied to installations using Uniprint Suite 9.2. This update should only take a few minutes to complete.
Installation
The update affects the Pharos IPP Service and should be applied to all machines running the Pharos IPP Service. The IPP Service is used for receiving print jobs from the Pharos Chrome extension (for Chromebooks and browsers).
To apply the update:
Download the PharosIPPServiceSetup.msi from the Pharos Hot Fixes web page.
Copy the msi file to a temporary location on each Pharos Print Server and run the msi by double-clicking it. Follow the on-screen instructions
Note: The install will require that Dotnet Core 6.0 is already installed on the server. The installer for the Dotnet Core 6 hosting bundle can be retrieved from the Pharos Hot Fixes web page. Install of the Dotnet Core 6 component may require a restart of the machine following completion.
After installing the Pharos IPP service, perform a health check using your browser by running the following: https://servername/ipp/health-check. (Replace servername with your server details.) If the following error is returned: HTTP Error 502.5 - ANCM Out-Of-Process Startup Failure, restart the Windows Process Activation Service.
The application of this update constitutes acceptance of the conditions specified in your license agreement. To view the license agreement, please refer to the license.rtf file on your Pharos CD.
