CONTROL PANEL SETTINGS 

CONFIGURE SECURITY DETAILS 

NOTE: This section does not need to be performed on devices introduced in or after 2018. 

  1. Press the Menu button on the KM bizhub MFP 

  2. Select Utility > Administrator Settings 

  3. Enter the Administrator password 

  4. Click the OK button 

  5. Select [Screen 2/2] 

  6. Select Security Settings 

  7. Select [Screen 1/2] 

  8. Select Security Details 

  9. Select [Screen 3/5] 

  10. Set [Secure Print Only] to “No” 

  11. Set [Web browser contents access] to “Allow” 

  12. Click the OK button 

  13. Close out the Administrator Settings 

LOGIN TO PAGESCOPE 

  1. Open http://[printer in a web browser 

  2. Select “Administrator” 

  3. Click the Login button 

  4. Select “Administrator (Admin Mode)” 

  5. Enter the Administrator password

  6. Click the OK button to login 

MAINTENANCE SETTINGS 

CONFIGURE TIME SERVER 

  1. Select Maintenance > Date/Time Setting > Time Adjustment Setting 

  2. Set [Time Adjustment Setting] to “ON” 

  3. Enter the [NTP Server Address] setting 

    1. It is recommended to configure the same NTP Server as the Device Scout server 

  4. Click the Adjust button 

  5. Click the OK button to close the “adjustment succeeded” dialogue message 

  6. Click the OK button to commit the settings

CONFIGURE DATE/TIME 

  1. Select Maintenance > Date/Time Setting > Manual Setting 

  2. Verify the current [Date] and [Time] settings are accurate (as set by the NTP Server) 

    1. TLSv1.2 communication requires the printer date/time to be within five minutes of (1) the Device Scout date/time and (2) the Pharos Cloud API date/time 

  3. Set [Time Zone] to the local time zone 

  4. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

VERIFY WEB BROWSER FUNCTION 

NOTE: For legacy printer models (pre-7 series), it is necessary to validate the Web Browser function is licensed and enabled on the printer. 

  1. Select Maintenance > License Setting > List of Enabled Functions 

  2. Verify that “Web Browser” is shown in the List of Enabled Functions 

    1. Contact your KM representative if “Web Browser” is not listed

SYSTEM SETTINGS 

DISABLE WEB BROWSER CACHE 

  1. Select System Settings > Web Browser Setting > Detail Setting.

  2. Click the “Delete” button (to the right of [Delete Cache]). 

  3. Click the OK button to confirm the deletion.

  4. Set [Delete Cache Conditions] to “Delete (During Logout/During Timeout)”.

  5. Set Enable Software Keyboard to "ON". 

  6. Set [Enable SSL Version] to “Disable” for [SSL3.0], [TLS1.0], and [TLS1.1] and  “Enable” for [TLS1.2] 

  7. Click the OK button to save the settings

SECURITY SETTINGS 

CREATE DEVICE CERTIFICATE

NOTE: This section does not need to be performed on devices introduced in or after 2018.

  1. Select Security > PKI Settings > Device Certificate Setting 

  2. Remove the existing SSL certificates (if necessary) 

    1. Click the Settings button 

    2. Select “Remote a Certificate” 

    3. Click the OK button to remove the certificate 

  3. Click the New Registration button 

  4. Select the “Create and install a self-signed Certificate” option 

  5. Enter the certificate information 

  6. Click the OK button to create the SSL certificate 

CONFIGURE SSL SETTINGS 

  1. Select Security > PKI Settings > SSL Settings 

  2. Set [Mode using SSL/TLS] to “Admin Mode and User mode”  

  3. Set [Encryption Strength] to “AES-256” 

  4. Set [SSL/TLS Version Setting] to “TLSv1.2” 

  5. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

CONFIGURE PKI PROTOCOLS 

 Note: One SSL/TLS certificate installed on the MFP is sufficient, as it will be automatically used for all protocols.

DISABLE CERTIFICATE VERIFICATION 

  1. Select Security > Certificate Verification Settings 

  2. Set [Certificate Verification Settings] to “OFF” 

  3. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

NETWORK SETTINGS 

CONFIGURE DNS 

  1. Select Network > TCP/IP Setting > TCP/IP Setting 

  2. Enter the [DNS Server Settings (IPv4)] settings 

    1. The printer must be able to resolve the Device Scout FQDN 

  3. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

CONFIGURE WEBDAV SERVER  

  1. Select Network > WebDAV Settings > WebDAV Server Settings 

  2. Set [WebDAV Settings] to “ON” 

  3. Set [SSL Setting] to “SSL Only” 

  4. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

CONFIGURE OPENAPI 

  1. Select Network > OpenAPI Setting 

  2. Set [Use SSL/TLS] to “SSL Only” 

  3. Set [Port Number] to “50003” 

  4. Set [Validity Period] to “Do Not Confirm” 

  5. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

CONFIGURE TCP SOCKET 

  1. Select Network > TCP Socket Setting 

  2. Set [TCP Socket] to enabled (checked) 

  3. Set [Port Number] to “59158” 

  4. Set [Use SSL/TLS] to enabled (checked) 

  5. Set [Port No (SSL/TLS)] to “59159” 

  6. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

CONFIGURE WEB BROWSER 

  1. Select Network > Web Browser Setting > Web Browser Setting 

    1. Contact your KM representative if this menu option is not available 

  2. Set [Web Browser] to “Enable” 

  3. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

  4. Click the Logout button 

  5. Click the OK button to logout 

  6. Restart the printer 

OPTIONAL SETTINGS 

ENABLE REMOTE PANEL 

As a convenience when configuring or testing the printer, it may be desirable to enable the Konica Minolta bizhub’s Remote Panel feature. Contact your Konica Minolta Service Representative to enable this feature on your device(s). 

ENABLE PRINT WITHOUT AUTHENTICATION 

If users will print to a printer using both Pharos Cloud  and non-Pharos Cloud print queues, it is required to allow print without authentication. If print without authentication is restricted, then print jobs from  Pharos Cloud and non-Pharos Cloud on print queues will be rejected by the printer. 

  1. Select User Auth/Account Track > Print without Authentication 

  2. Set [Print without Authentication] to “Full Color/Black” 

  3. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

ALLOW PUBLIC USER ACCESS 

Authentication is required when enabling Pharos Cloud n on a printer. To enable functions such as Copy and Scan without authentication, it is necessary to enable Public User access. 

  1. Select User Auth/Account Track > General Settings 

  2. Set [Public User Access] to “ON (With Login)” or “ON (Without Login)” 

    1. “ON (With Login)” will display the authentication screen. The Copy and Scan apps can be accessed by pressing the Access button and then selecting the Public User Access button. 

    2. “ON (Without Login)” will display the default home screen. The authentication screen will be displayed when selecting the Secure Print app. 

  3. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

DISABLE PRINT FOR PUBLIC USER  

It is recommended to restrict Print for the Public User if the Public User is enabled. This will hide the Secure Print app when employees are signed in as the Public User. 

  1. Press the Menu button on the KM bizhub MFP 

  2. Select Utility > Administrator Settings 

  3. Enter the Administrator password 

  4. Click the OK button 

  5. Select [Screen 1/2] 

  6. Select User Authentication/Account Track 

  7. Select [Screen 1/2] 

  8. Select User Authentication Settings > User Registration > 000 Public 

  9. Click the Edit button 

  10. Select Function Permissions 

  11. Select [Screen 2/4] 

  12. Set [Print] to “Restrict” 

  13. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

  14. Close out the Administrator Settings

SET DEFAULT HOME SCREEN 

The default home screen is the Copy app. It is possible to change the default home screen after the user authenticates. A popular default home screen alternative is the Main Menu. The Main Menu screen provides quicker and more intuitive access to the Secure Print app. 

  1. Press the Menu button on the KM bizhub MFP 

  2. Select Utility > Administrator Settings 

  3. Enter the Administrator password 

  4. Click the OK button 

  5. Select [Screen 1/2] 

  6. Select System Settings 

  7. Select [Screen 1/3] 

  8. Select Reset Settings > System Auto Reset 

  9. Set [Priority Mode] to the new default home screen 

  10. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

  11. Close out the Administrator Settings 

ADD SECURE PRINT TO MAIN MENU 

When there are multiple registered apps, the Secure Print app will appear in the APP folder. It is possible to place the Secure Print app on the Main Menu screen. The Secure Print app must be installed before completing this section. 

  1. Press the Menu button on the KM bizhub MFP 

  2. Select Utility > Administrator Settings 

  3. Enter the Administrator password 

  4. Click the OK button 

  5. Select [Screen 1/2] 

  6. Select System Settings 

  7. Select [Screen 3/3] 

  8. Select Custom Display Settings > Main Menu Default Settings > Main Menu Key [N] (where [N] is an available Main Menu Key) 

  9. Set to [ON]  

  10. Select Registered App 

  11. Select Secure Print 

  12. Click the OK button to commit the settings 

  13. Close out the Administrator Settings 

 

Note: We do not support tracking of USB device-generated print jobs currently.

USB printing on  fifth generation device types is not supported.
